Mini Chocolate Marshmallow and Strawberry Panini

Posted by: Angela Barrett

When my friend Nicole showed up to stay with us for a few weeks three of the items she brought with her were King’s Hawaiian Dinner Rolls, Chocolate Hazelnut Spread and Marshmallow Fluff.  Yes, she showed up with these items in tow just as someone would show up with a cosmetic bag or spare outfits for a long stay.  I admit that I found it a bit odd, but she swore that I need to try it and I’d understand.

I’ve had Chocolate Hazelnut Spread and Marshmallow Fluff on regular bread before but I had never had it on King’s Hawaiian Dinner Rolls. Something about the sweet bread with the chocolate and marshmallow is just so delicious, and not to mention it was something I could throw together in no time. Desserts and sweet treats don’t have to take hours in the oven or fridge to satisfy that sweet tooth craving.

One of my favorite dessert combinations would have to be chocolate and strawberry. So, when I was making a few of these little sweet snacks the other day, I decided to take them one step further. I sliced up some fresh strawberries and put them into the middle of the Chocolate Hazelnut Spread and Marshmallow Fluff sandwiches. After heating up the Panini grill, I pressed them into the hot grill, melting the chocolate hazelnut spread into the marshmallow and strawberries turning a great simple treat into a delectable, heavenly dessert.

What you need:
King’s Hawaiian® Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls
Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
Marshmallow Fluff
Sliced Strawberries
Panini grill (or you can use a frying pan and spatula)**
What to do:
  1. Open the King’s Hawaiian Dinner Rolls and spread the Chocolate Hazelnut Spread onto one side of the roll and Marshmallow Fluff onto the other side.
  2. Place the sliced strawberries over the chocolate and marshmallow. Close the sandwiches, and place them onto a hot Panini grill.
  3. Close the grill and let heat for about 1 -2 minutes. Remove from the grills and enjoy.

**If using a frying pan to heat the mini sandwiches, heat a frying pan on medium – high heat. Spray with a little non-stick spray. Once hot, press sandwich into frying pan with spatula and let heat for 30 seconds -45 seconds, or until chocolate hazelnut spread starts to melt**
