Awesome recipe. We did not have the round so we substituted about 1/2 a loaf of the sweet sliced bread and it worked fine. That was about 4-5 cups of bread cubes.
This turned out delicious. I will add chopped nuts to the topping next time because I like baked things with nuts. I cut down the sugar topping to 1/8 cup sugar because it seemed like a lot. And then I added 2 teaspoons of cinnamon because I like cinnamon. It was good and very easy to make.
I have made this three times now for different brunches I have attended and it is ALWAYS a hit! So delicious, easy to make and a total crowd pleaser!
I had some King Hawaiian Mini Sub Rolls I needed to use. I used 4 rolls (4 1/2 cups). I used evaporated milk for my milk and and a Granny Smith apple. Very tasty.
i baked for 45 minutes. Will make again.
I made it this morning and I am in love. My kids and husband are absolutely addicted to this new breakfast treat. This is going in my recipe book =]
