Bacon Spinach Dip

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350° F. Step 2
Carve out the bread's core within one inch of the bottom and sides, creating a bread bowl. Set aside the core. Step 3
Cut the cored bread horizontally into 1/2-inch strips. Step 4
Brush both sides of the strips with olive oil. Use cookie cutters to cut the strips into fun shapes; place on foil-lined baking sheet. Step 5
Brush inside of bowl lightly with olive oil. Step 6
Place bowl on separate baking sheet. Step 7
Bake bowls and bread shapes for 11-13 minutes, until golden brown. Step 8
Blend mayo and sour cream together in a medium bowl. Add bacon and spinach; mix well. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled. Step 9
Just before serving, stir in tomatoes; salt and pepper to taste. Step 10
Transfer the dip into the bread bowl and serve with toasted bread shapes on the side.

Made this dip for the big game, and it was a hit!!! Didn't matter what you ate it with, the toasted bread, potato chips, sourdough chips, anything. It tasted sooooooo good!!.

This recipe is a hit with my family and friends. definite Crowd pleaser! Very easy to make too. Everyone loves bacon.

Love this and so does everyone else! The tomato adds a color that is so festive. I buy extra kings Hawaiian bread because the core is just not enough for the quantity of dip.
