Recipe Details

3 (8 ounce) packages Cream cheese softened

1 cup Mayonnaise

1/3 cup Dijon mustard

3/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon Garlic powder

2 (14 ounce) cans Artichoke hearts drained and chopped

1 (12 ounce) Cooked crabmeat fresh or frozen imitation may be used

1 (8 ounce) Cheddar cheese shredded

Step 1
Carefully hollow one loaf, leaving 1 inch on sides and bottom.
Step 2
Cube removed bread and additional loaf.
Step 3
Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, mustard, cayenne pepper and garlic powder, until smooth. Fold in artichoke hearts and crab.
Step 4
Warm the mixture in microwave or on stove top. Remove from heat.
Step 5
Mix 4 oz. cheddar cheese into mixture, then pour into hollowed loaf.
Step 6
Garnish with remaining cheddar. Arrange bread cubes around loaf when ready to serve.
Step 7
Serve warm or cold.
I have made this recipe, it makes quite a bit, so adjust it if you do not have a large crowd, also, I think I would cut back on the dijon mustard a bit. It is good!
I've made this recipe several times and everyone loves it and it makes enough for a huge crowd. I start small on the cayenne though cause it can get pretty spicy. Personally, I prefer the bread cubes to be toasted for dipping.
