Mini Baked Jalapeno Ham & Cream Cheese Sliders

Neens from Ono Yum
Neens grew up in the island-style communities of San Diego. Far from Hawaii, but close to plate lunch, surfing and ukulele jammin, Neens is the creator of the Musubi Map and the I Love Poke Festival, both vehicles that reflect his passion for all things Hawaiian. He was raised on local-style home cooking thanks to his Mom, Gles, also known as the Filipina Betty Crocker. This recipe is one of Neens’ favorite dishes that he grew up eating, courtesy of his Mom. Ingredients

4 - 8 slices Ham

2 ounces Shredded pepper jack cheese

4 ounces Whipped cream cheese

1 tablespoon Honey

2 tablespoons Butter

1 package King's Hawaiian Jalapeño Rolls

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
Keeping rolls in tact, slice bread in half horizontally. Place bottom portion of rolls in an ungreased baking pan (9x13 works great).
Step 3
In a bowl, blend cream cheese along with 1oz of shredded cheese and spread mixture evenly over bottom portion of rolls. (The shredded cheese helps to keep the cream cheese from melting all over the place)
Step 4
Next, layer as much ham as you would like on top of the cheese covered rolls.
Step 5
Add the remaining amount of shredded cheese on top of the ham, and place the other half of rolls on top.
Step 6
Melt honey and butter together, then brush honey butter evenly on top of Jalapeno Rolls.
Step 7
Cover with foil and bake for about 10 minutes.
Step 8
Let cool for a couple minutes before slicing open. A serrated knife is suggested when cutting these apart.
Step 9
Serve warm.
