English Trifle

Ingredients (Bread Cake) *
1/2 cup Salted Butter, melted
2 tablespoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 slices KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Sliced Bread cut into 1 inch cubes
Ingredients (Custard) *
1 cup Lemon curd (may be substituted with lemon pudding)
1 teaspoon Meyer lemon zest
2 cups Mascarpone Cheese
2 cups Seasonal berries (chopped if needed)


Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Step 2
In a bowl, mix together melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract using a wire whisk

Step 3
Using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, add the cubed bread to the butter mixture and toss together until completely coated

Step 4
Lightly spray a cookie sheet with pan spray

Step 5
Bake the bread for twenty minutes until crispy and golden in color, and then set aside at room temperature to cool

Step 6
Allow mascarpone to soften in a mixing bowl

Step 7
Combine all custard ingredients and mix together with a wire whisk

Step 8
Refrigerate the custard mixture

Step 9
In four serving glasses, layer lemon custard, cinnamon sugar bread cake, whipped cream, and berries until you reach the top of the glass

Step 10
Garnish with lemon zest

Step 11
Chill for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight and enjoy!
