Kings Royal Aloha Sliders

Recipe Details

1-2 Portuguese sausage butterflied then cut into 3-4" strips

8-16 Shaved deli ham (thin sliced slices)

2 Fried Egg (runny yolk preferred)

1 Macaroni Salad (Mayonnaise based)

1 finely chopped Maui sweet onions (if not available, any sweet onion will do)

1 Fresh pineapple sliced into 1/4" rings and then quartered

1 unsalted butter

1 package KING'S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls

Step 1
Buy King's Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls Rolls (4 pack or larger depending on the serving size)
Step 2
Use a knife to neatly and evenly cut the dinner rolls (do not attempt to break them in half by hand)
Step 3
Toast the rolls for warmth, not too crisp.
Step 4
Apply butter to one half (side) of the rolls, leaving the other side plain
Step 5
Pan fry a Portuguese sausage on both sides, butterfly it so it's approx 1/4" thick and about 3" to 4" long, upon cooking it, blot out the excess grease with a paper towel
Step 6
Using the grease created by the Portuguese Sausage, fry an egg, over easy with the yolk either runny or moist. Upon cooking the egg you can cut it into quarter(s) to put into the slider
Step 7
continue and pan fry thinly sliced shaved ham for warmth and crispy but not overcooked to become dried out or burnt
Step 8
Slice a fresh pineapple into 1/4" to 1/2" sliced rings, and quickly grill or pan fry to remove the excess juices, but keep moist. You can have a whole ring, or simply quarter a ring and put one 1/4 portion in each slider
Step 9
Slice up an onion, sweet onion preferred and garnish appropriately, lightly
Step 10
Add macaroni salad (mayonnaise based) as a light condiment similarly as you would spread on mustard, mayo or ketchup, so a thin layer for taste and texture.

Certain elements can be removed or optioned in/out based on diet and/or personal preferences, including the roll not being toasted or not being buttered, or using either the fried egg or the mac salad, but not necessarily both. This recipe can be applied towards the larger sandwich buns as well. This is designed to be served hot or warm, but based on the cooking and preparation instructions (including blotting out excess grease and reducing excess liquids) it can stand at room temperature and still be enjoyed.
