Monte Cristo

1/2 cup Mayonnaise (Best Foods recommended)
4 slices Gouda Cheese
4 slices Turkey
2 tablespoons Fruit Preserves (raspberry or apricot)
2 eggs beaten
1/4 cup whole milk
6 slices KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Sliced Bread


Step 1
Lay out 6 slices of bread. On 2 of them, spread fruit preserves and set aside. Spread mayo on the remaining 4 slices. Place 2 pieces of cheese on 2 sliced bread and 2 pieces of turkey on the remaining sliced bread.

Step 2
Assemble two sandwiches as follows: bread, cheese, bread, preserves, turkey, bread.

Step 3
Cut the crusts off and pinch and seal the ends.

Step 4
Combine the eggs and milk in a shallow bowl. Dip sandwich into batter and place inside a hot Panini maker, waffle maker or in a med-high skillet.

Step 5
Turn every 2 minutes until golden brown and hot inside. Let cool slightly before slicing and eating. To garnish, sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
